Senior Sales Negotiator

Salary: £25,000 – £28,000 commensurate with experience and ability to work unsupervised.

Location: Kendal

Hours: Full Time (will include some Saturday working)

Position: Full-time, Permanent

 

Role Summary

As a Senior Sales Negotiator, you will be instrumental in driving residential property sales, managing client relationships, and overseeing the full sales journey — from valuation to completion. You will also take ownership of sales progression, ensuring transactions move smoothly through to exchange, while mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to the Company’s overall success.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Negotiation

  • Qualify buyers ensuring full details are obtained and recorded accurately on the Company’s CRM system
  • Negotiate offers between buyers and vendors to secure successful outcomes
  • To manage the booking of viewings to ensure optimum efficiency, enabling viewing staff to provide a gold standard service, whilst remaining safe as lone workers.
  • To manage the full sales cycle from listing to completion whilst maintaining a Gold Standard throughout.
  • Maintain accurate records using the company CRM systems and property portals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with our clients, solicitors, and mortgage advisors.
  • Promote additional services such as Milne Moser conveyancing, and financial products.
  • To ensure that client keys are logged and stored securely. Also, to ensure that client keys are only released once the necessary security checks have been carried out.
  • Monitor local market trends and identify new business opportunities.

Sales Progression

  • Act as the main point of contact for buyers, sellers, solicitors, and mortgage brokers throughout the transaction
  • Proactively manage the sales pipeline, chasing documentation and resolving issues to avoid delays
  • Keep all parties informed of progress and manage expectations
  • Proactively identify risks and implement solutions to keep sales on track
  • Maintain accurate records and update CRM systems regularly
  • Ensure compliance with anti-money laundering (AML), GDPR, and other regulatory requirements

Team Leadership & Development

  • Support and mentor junior negotiators and viewers, sharing best practices and helping them achieve targets
  • Contribute to team meetings and performance reviews
  • Assist management with training initiatives and onboarding of new staff
  • To assist the Company’s financial team with billing and supplier queries
  • To receive incoming correspondence, action and distribute accordingly
  • To monitor and report faults in the office
  • To be responsible for correct and accurate data entry for all property marketing materials including window cards and brochures
  • To supervise the office staff in the absence of the Head of Residential Property.
  • To provide weekly and monthly figures as required by the Head of Residential Property
  • To focus on the growth of the Company providing ideas for specific campaigns for generating business pursuing lost stock and stock listed by competitors in a timely manner.

Person Specification

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in residential sales within estate agency
  • Strong understanding of the UK conveyancing process and property legislation
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously
  • Proficient in CRM systems and property portals
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Level 3 Technical award/Member of Propertymark
  • Driven to provide gold standard services
